Philadelphia, PA–November 2009. It’s been a busy few months at Paragraph that’s included packaging and promotions for McGillin’s Old Ale House, new websites for Kremer Eye Center and Delaware College of Art & Design, and communications support to help the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission go public with its long-range plan. McGillin’s Old Ale House

After a loss of major funding, a number of nonprofit organizations throughout our region have joined forces to share marketing resources and raise money together. Looking for a unified and meaningful message, they turned to Paragraph.

McGillin’s Old Ale House is the oldest continuously operating bar in Philadelphia. How old you ask? Well, it will soon be celebrating its 150th Anniversary. To commemorate the special event, they’re introducing 1860 IPA, with our help of course.

Brewed by Stoudt’s Brewing Company, the brewer for McGillin’s other two house ales, 1860 IPA is an American, unfiltered, bottle conditioned ale. While the recipe itself is a secret, we’re proud to say we had the privilege of creating the artwork for the bottle, tap handle, and anniversary materials. 1860 IPA is already flowing from the taps at McGillin’s and will soon be available at distributors across Pennsylvania.

Kremer Eye Center

Kremer Eye Center is recognized as the leader in LASIK and vision correction procedures. The practice and its surgeons are also leaders at providing a number of medical treatments including glaucoma and cataracts, corneal transplants, and ophthalmic plastic surgery.

In developing the practice’s new website, we saw an opportunity to educate potential patients about the expertise of the surgeons and the array of treatment options available to improve their vision and enhance their lives.

We simplified the site into three sections that allow potential patients to understand the treatment options available; learn more about Kremer’s innovative history and unique approach to care; and read first-hand from others who have trusted their eyes to Kremer.

DVRPC Long-Range Plan

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) is responsible for shaping the way we live, work, and play. One of its many duties is developing and implementing a long-term plan for our region.

Titled Connections— The Regional Plan for a Sustainable Future, the plan was originally published as an extensive document in early July. It links our land, our environment, our economy, and our transportation system to establish a vision for our how region can become a model or sustainability, productivity, and profitability.

Paragraph helped distill the document and developed a succinct plan summary and website to convey the Commission’s goals and objectives to the greater community. Paragraph also provided design support for the public introduction of the plan held on September 24 at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden.
