As growers, providers, producers, distributors, and consumers we all play a part in our region’s food system. But just as our tastes have changed drastically over the years, the way we grow, harvest, process, package, deliver, and prepare the foods we eat has, too. The challenge is making sure that it all changes for the better.

This is the goal of DVRPC’s new Food System Plan. The Plan looks at our region’s food system and provides recommendations to improve its agricultural, economic, environmental, and social resources so it serves us for generations to come.
