Working to Renew Growing Greener

June 30, 2011

Over the past decade, Growing Greener has invested in thousands of projects across Pennsylvania, helping to improve air and water quality, sustain jobs and local economies, preserve working farms, provide recreational opportunities, and revitalize communities. Despite its success, funding for this program is running dry, and Pennsylvania’s environment, economy, communities, and quality of life are all at risk.

The Renew Growing Greener Coalition is working to protect Pennsylvania by identifying sustainable sources of funding to ensure that this vital program continues. And we’re helping.

Through messaging and a new brochure we asked the question, “What’s at stake when green is gone?” showing the risks we face if we allow Growing Greener to expire. We also created a one-sheet that showcases local, Philadelphia projects made possible through the program. Moving forward, Coalition members will be customizing the one-sheet to highlight different projects and regions throughout Pennsylvania.

These pieces were part of a Renew Growing Greener Coalition event held at Yards Brewing Company on Monday, June 20.
