Bob Aretz, Principal & Creative Director

Named one of Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 under 40,” for his charisma and entrepreneurial spirit, Bob Aretz has extensive experience in strategic planning, message development, and communication design solutions. As principal of Paragraph, Bob utilizes his insight, understanding, and vision to get to the root of clients’ branding and communications issues.

Prior to founding Paragraph in 1991, Bob studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and worked as a senior art director at Mandala, Inc. in Philadelphia.

His work has been featured in publications including Communication Arts, Graphic Design:usa, Graphis, Print Magazine, HOW, and other notable industry publications. He has also received recognition by various design industry associations including AIGA, the Art Director’s Club of Philadelphia, the Ad Club of Philadelphia, the Ad Club of New York, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), and more.

Additionally, Paragraph is honored to have won several ADDY awards, American Graphic Design awards, Print Magazine’s Certificate of Design Excellence awards, American Corporate Identity Award of Excellence certificates, the Mohawk Paper Award of Excellence, National Mature Media Certificate of Excellence awards, Prescott & Forbes Business Brokers Award, plus many others.

Bob is an active member of the local community and was recently awarded the Northern Liberties Community Service Award. He also serves on the board of Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia and has recently been elected to the board of the Friends of The Solitude, a volunteer organization committed to the conservation and historic preservation of John Penn’s The Solitude.
